Recent cattery news:

Our exquisite blue queen, Evita's Rumi Blue of Animah, had her fourth litter July 31, 2013. The sire is Animah's Bodhi Ani, a Grand Champion Blue Burmese.

The blue female kitten, Olive, was purchased by Mouse Island Cattery in Connecticutt for breeding (very exciting for us!). The blue male, Sampa (Burmese for sapphire blue) went to Chicago, the platinum male, Dharma,  is here in Winnipeg, and the lilac female (registered as platinum, but she has a beautifully soft coat with pink-mauve tones to it), Animah's Supaya (Burmese for "Little Princess") has found a home in Fort Myers, Florida.

Shams was 8th best cat in the region last season, and is now showing as an alter, and Bodhi will be kept whole.  They were quite busy last year! At the Winnipeg (MCCI) Cat Show, June 29-30, 2013, Bodhi and Shams both became Grand Champions, Bodhi in just two shows! They were also successful at the Coulee Region show in Rochester, MN (August 3-4). Out of 8 rings, Bodhi finalled in five: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th and 9th best adult cat.  Shams finalled in 3 rings, 4th, 4th, and 8th best alter.
Bodhi will be mating our sable queen, Sufi, in late February (allowing for our travel schedule!)

Our cattery, cats, and litters are
registered with ACFA and CFA, and we belong to the Manitoba Cat Club Inc. (MCCI), Prairie Feline Fanciers (PFF), and the Northwest Region of ACFA.

I (Julie) am actively involved on the executive committee of MCCI. As well as an annual show, the club has meetings on the third Thursday of each month. We support various other clubs, rescue operations, spay and neuter programs, etc. We also have exhibitions at shopping centres and other venues, including personal care homes. We hope to organize some events to highlight and demonstrate cat care techniques in the near future.
